Rising Stars in US Tennis

Men's Tennis

  • Ben Shelton (b. 2002) – Probably the biggest American breakout. Huge lefty serve, explosive game, and already making deep runs at majors (US Open semifinalist). Still refining consistency.

  • Sebastian Korda (b. 2000) – Very clean ball-striker, high tennis IQ. Injuries have slowed him a bit, but when healthy he looks like a top-10 caliber player.

  • Brandon Nakashima (b. 2001) – Steady, composed, great backhand. Won Next Gen ATP Finals (2022) and continues to build.

  • Learner Tien (b. 2005) – One of the most exciting juniors transitioning to pro level. Smart, counterpunching style; big upside.

  • Alex Michelsen (b. 2004) – Fast riser on tour with a big serve and aggressive baseline game.

  • Nishesh Basavareddy (b. 2005) – NCAA standout turning pro, very polished all-around game.

Women's Tennis

  • Iva Jovic (b. 2007) – Rising US female player on the WTA.

  • Coco Gauff (b. 2004) – Already a Grand Slam champion, but still just 22. Continues to evolve—arguably the face of the next generation.

  • Emma Navarro (b. 2001) – Rapid climb up the rankings with a very complete, gritty game. Big 2024–2025 momentum.

  • Peyton Stearns (b. 2001) – Former NCAA champion, heavy forehand, improving fast on tour.

  • Ashlyn Krueger (b. 2004) – Big hitter, strong serve, starting to notch wins over top players.

  • Robin Montgomery (b. 2004) – Lefty with variety and touch; still developing consistency but high ceiling.

  • Clervie Ngounoue (b. 2006) – One of the top American juniors, already making waves in ITF events.
